About

I recently graduated from The Pennsylvania State University, where I majored in public relations and minored in communication arts and sciences. Through coursework and internship experiences, I developed as a professional throughout my college career and am excited to continue this growth when I enter the workforce.
On campus, I was actively invloved in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and Happy Valley Communications (HVC), Penn State's only student-run public relations firm. Both of these organizations provided me with real-world experience in event planning, research and blog writing, as well as many other areas. Currently, I am working as a summer fellow in Ketchum's technology practice.
What truly solidified my passion for PR are my internships. One in-house and two agency, I had the opportunity to experience public relations in different contexts. From product sampling events for in-house and client meetings for agency, I saw first-hand what sets each type of PR apart from the other. I learned that I feel "at home" when practicing public relations, no matter the environment or atmosphere in which I work.
Through hands-on tasks and projects, I acquired PR skills that I couldn't have obtained by any other means. Pairing these with my completed classwork, I feel fully equipped to continue in the professional world.
